Jawaharlal Nehru University's English students are thrilled to have their Centre featured in the QS top 100 subject listing
Euphoria's in the air at Jawaharlal Nehru University's Centre for English Studies, since the news of it being in the top-100 (in subject listing) surfaced.
“The news has spread like wildfire and is all over the place on campus. Students have it up on their facebook walls and on their twitter accounts. The student community in particular is very happy about the fact that the centre has received such an honour, says Preeti Singh, a second-year MA student.“JNU has always been one of the world-renowned universities, it comes as no surprise that the centre's made it to top 100 worldwide. The faculty forms an integral part in fetching us the rank,“ adds Singh.
“My interaction with the faculty has been the most cherished experience. They are all so dedicated and go out of the way to help you settle down,“ says a first-year MA student.
Besides the faculty, peer learning, out-of-the-box thinking and a forward-looking approach differentiate it from other institutes in India.
According to students, diversity of thought in the classroom alongwith a progressive line of thought make the centre the best among the rest.
