Union HRD minister Kapil Sibal on Tuesday held a meeting with madrasa
teacher associations, representatives of states madrasa boards,
officials from state governments to work on a scheme for providing
quality education in madrasas. The scheme, which has benefited over
10,522 Madrasas and 26,755 teachers, is for introducing modern subjects
like Mathematics, Science, Social Studies, Hindi and English in madrasas
and providing financial assistance.
