Now that the HSC results carry 50% weight for engineering students,
science students should be more particular in choosing a college with
good faculty and facilities. If you make it to any of your college
choices, you have to pay R50 and secure provisional admission, even if
you have a good chance at getting into another college. If you don’t,
you will be out of the online admissions process. If you make it to a
college you have ranked as higher preference in the second or third
round, remember that you have one ‘betterment’ option to change your
college choice. However, you are not obliged to use this option.
Research both institutes thoroughly before changing your mind.
