Career questions

I am planning to pursue MSC (finance) from either Canada or Australia. Could you suggest a few reputed and accredited universities/ business schools which offer Master’s in Finance? What are the admission requirements to universities in the two countries?
    - Shivraj
Have a look at the Master’s in Finance offered at Monash University and University of New South
Wales in Australia and Queens University and York University in Canada to check whether it suits your requirements. For the master’s degree in Canada, you will need GMAT (some universities may require) and TOEFL scores for admission. You will need to take entrance tests such as the IELTS for admission in Australia. For the application procedure, take tests, shortlist the universities you plan to apply to, complete the online application forms and then mail the supporting documents such as résumé, recommendation letters, statement of purpose, financial documents, mark sheets and transcripts to the universities. Plan in advance - at least nine months prior to the course starting date.

CRITERIA QUESTION
I am a BCom graduate and CA, and am currently pursuing the three-year LLB degree. I would like to pursue my postgraduation degree in finance. I am planning to apply for a Master’s
in Finance from US or Canada. As per the admission requirements US/ Canadian universities, 16 years of education qualification for pursuing master’s course is a must. Will my Indian CA qualification be accepted for the 16 years education criteria? Will just completing the first and second year LLB satisfy the education criteria or do I need to complete the course?

Universities may consider your profile for the Master’s in Finance. Remember every university has different norms of admission. Hence, it is better to discuss your profile individually with each university to know whether you they would accept your application.

Study the psychology course offered by Boston University and University of Texas Austin in the US to see whether they suit your requirements. For admission to a bachelor’s degree programme in the US, you will need to appear for the SAT and TOEFL.
