CONTEMPORARY DANCE SUMMER RESIDENCY, VIENNA The
Enhanced danceWEB Europe Scholarship Programme for Contemporary Dance
is an opportunity for dancers and choreographers to participate in a
five-week summer residency in Vienna within the frame of ImPulsTanz
festival. The programme offers around 50 young professional dancers and
choreographers an intense
multinational training programme focusing on the exchange of ideas and
knowledge, meeting with internationally renowned artists with the aim to
orient the career of the participants. The scholarship programme is
supervised by an artistic coach selected amongst dance personalities who
have played a decisive part in the development of contemporary dance in
recent years. It includes individual coaching, participation in the
research projects of ProSeries and CoachingProject, participation in the
technique workshops of ImPulsTanz, admission to all performances of
ImPulsTanz, access to approximately 250 awarded dance film videos
library, lecture demonstrations, special projects, connection to and
presentation of a yearly growing, international database, own homepage
within the DanceWEB Europe website and much more. While the scholarship
includes accommodation in Vienna for the period of the programme, it will not include travel and per diem expenses.
• ELIGIBILITY: Participants should be dancers and choreographers with decidedly professional ambitions, preferably be between 22 and 30 years of age, and possess a good knowledge of English. The quality of the dance background is the main criteria for participation in DanceWEB.
