Students not worried about online AIEEE, thanks to mock tests

The All India Engineering Entrance Examination (AIEEE) is going online in more than 20 cities this academic year, but the candidates will not be unfamiliar with the format thanks to the various mock online tests made available by private organisations.
One such organisation is gotoAIEEE.com of online test provider GoToTest.
“gotoAIEEE prepares students to take the AIEEE exam in the online format. We launched it just a week ago, and already there are 1,000 students signing up for the test every day,” said Sudhir Menon, managing director and CEO of Gototest.
“A student can sign up for this service which includes three tests. After one test is over, he/she is given a personalised evaluation, which throws light on aspects the student is lacking in, what is leading to negative marking, how he/she can do better to manage time. Based on the evaluation a student can again prepare for the next test and then the third test,”Menon added.
“This will help them work on their weak areas. The entire technicalities involved in this testing are like the actual AIEEE to give students a real-time experience.”
While private organisations are conducting mock online tests based on the questions appearing in the previous years’ AIEEE, the CBSE, which conducts the test, is not behind. The board has also started mock online testing for students to understand the pattern.
Shreya T, a student, said: “We are not unfamiliar with the computers but when it comes to online tests, it makes us nervous. The examination is very important for us as our career depends on it. We need to be well-prepared, not only academically but even technically.”
